In the past, workshops were provided to give project members a chance to share information, report on the progress of their respective projects, learn from related studies and interaction between projects, as well as to share theories they had developed.

With the end of Center of Excellence (COE) programs in academic year 2007, the workshops came to an end, having served to help those in each research project to summarize and present the result of their research. At least one external commentator was invited to offer constructive criticism in the interests of allowing researchers to improve their final reports.
